Our Story

We are Will and Joy Diorec. We are a team! Our journey began in Israel almost 20 years ago. Both of us were Caregivers there for years. Our paths crossed in 2010. We realized we like each other. We fell in love and got married in 2011 in the city of Tel Aviv. It was a beautiful story on its own but we are not going to tell you everything here, of course.

 

Our passion for care trace back to our roots. We grew up in a culture where we keep our elderlies in our homes, care for them with love and kindness through their final days. We have witnessed such devotion with our own grandparents.

 

We decided to move to Canada, from Israel in 2012 and 2011, respectively, for the same reason - our passion for care. Supporting seniors and making sure they live a healthy, happy life is a noble and fulfilling job. Over the years, here in Canada we provided heartfelt quality care to our senior clients. As Live-In Caregivers we treated them like family and in return they embraced us like their own too. We believe that providing care and support to seniors and persons with disability should be heartfelt.

Why our care is with a "K" ?

Our family moved to Nanaimo in 2020 from Fort St John, BC together with a young man in our care. His name starts with letter "K". He was a part of our family for 10 years! He encouraged us in so many ways with his calm, cheerful demeanour. In spite of his challenges he never seized to be positive and patient.

"K" inspired us to extend our passion into the community we call home.  We have a combined caregiving experience of 32 years. With that, we are passionate to provide quality family-like care and support to seniors in the comfort of their own homes.
